Teeth Whitening
A bright, white smile can say a lot about you. To help you achieve your perfect smile, our office offers several whitening options. You may choose to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home with our custom trays. You may also choose to have our highly trained dental team whiten your smile in office. It is true that some patients experience tooth sensitivity during and after whitening treatments. Sensitivity can range from mild to severe, but is usually temporary. To help counteract some of the sensitivity, our whitening products contain potassium nitrate, the main component in all sensitive toothpastes. We may also recommend additional desensitizing products if you are experiencing moderate to severe sensitivity. In addition to the potassium nitrate, all our whitening products contain fluoride. This way you can whiten your smile and help protect all at the same time.
Reasons for Teeth Whitening:
- Stained Teeth
- Tetracycline Staining
- Dull or dingy teeth
- Cosmetic restoration
How Teeth Whitening Works:
Impressions of your teeth will be made to make trays for your teeth. Your trays and whitening gel will be used at your convenience whenever your smile needs a touch-up. Or, you may choose an In-Office option for a quick smile boost. The In-Office option involves the use of a concentrated bleaching gel and is accomplished in an hour or less. Custom trays are also included for your home use following the In-Office Whitening. Your doctor will help you determine what option might be best for your smile.
